Exclamation

I hope some body can shed some light on this problem.

I own a MY98 UK Impreza Turbo. Just recently it has started to cut out on me. I have spoken to a few other people who suggested that it was the MAF, caused by a pipercross filter. But after removing this and cleaning the sensor with Carb cleaner it still remains the same. I have tried it without the Throttle Sensor connected and it will idle as normal or run as normal for a while, but still cuts out.

Its a spluttering sound and then slow decrease of revs and cut out.

Has anybody got any ideas?

1. Post in the drivetrain forum 8-)

2. You could have damaged your MAF, and cleaning it won't fix it.

3. Take it to your dealer... they can hook it up to the diagnostical computer

What is the fuel outage problem then?

I have taken it today for diagnostics to be done, but as off yet they haven't found anything wrong.
