Question

Hi,
Just bought a MY01 and the book recommends 95 RON (MIN), I take it that this means the minumim is 95 RON. How much (anyone measured) difference does SUL make over UL?

I have heard that the PPP's additional 30 bhp van be reduced to 15 if running on UL, also, is the standard car's 215 bhp measured on UL or SUL, if it's on UL can I expect a bit more on SUL?

Cheers,
Darren.

If you get a chance, goto your dealer and have a look at the brochure for the UK300. Look at the graphs they have for torque and bhp using NUL and SUL (and using the PPP) - there is quite a difference. Scoobs do seem to be very octane sensitive. I've been running my UK MY00 for a few months now on SUL and it really does make a noticeable difference. The other alternative is use an octane booster - look for threads about NF octane booster and / or speak to Harj

Cheers
Chris

Have been driving my umodified MY01 on UL for quite some time and recently made the switch to SUL. While I have no exact measurements yet, the car does seem a lot more responsive.
