Hi all,

thought you might be interested to hear this.............

(hmm.....better get that banner changed...d'oh!)

Dear fellow enthusiast,

we are happy to announce that as from 0000hrs on 28th June, our new improved web site is live!.

On the new site, you will find the following improvements that have been made after listening to comments made by the hundreds of you that have taken the time to mail us with your thoughts:

Vastly improved odds on all competitions!

The introduction of a sliding scale discount scheme at purchase point for buying several tickets at one time (which also greatly increases your chances!)

A greater amount of payment methods, including personal cheques, postal orders and NoChex debit card payment by e mail system

A time based competition for sub £1000 desirable items, with maximum running times of no more than 1 week (in most cases, only 5 days!)

Increased server capabilities, increasing the speed at which you can access all parts of our site

A system that allows you to confirm your entry by interrogating our database via your e mail address

We hope you enjoy the new site, and wish you the best of luck with all the draws.

Please feel free to e mail us with any comments at:

info@topprize.co.uk

Best regards,

Customer Service

Apologies to all, apparently our domain has been moved to the new server in the last hour(it was on a redirect from the old).

This is being sorted as I speak,

normal serveice should be resumed within 1 hour.

Have you migrated the information on tickets sold previous to the new site into the "check entry" database?

I'm being told that my entry cannot be found.

Help?

Introducing an element of skill changes the legal standing of the "competition". Don't matter how banal the questions are, just look at some of the ones TV & Radio programs use

Chiark: I'll look into this one

Christian: Mr Monkey is correct, however, you may notice our questions are a tadge more difficult than GMTV's "what country is Amsterdam in" type question ;-)

CHIARK!:

Hi,

apparently updating the codes from the previous DB is going to be a maual process that will be done over the next 3 - 4 days.

We will make you aware when your code is live on the new structure

In the meantime, I can assure you that your entry is still there, so dont worry.

ATB,

TP

TP,

For the X-Box competition, what is the number of tickets available?

Cheers,

Martin.

Martin: unlike the other competitions, the number of entrys are not limited for the X Box, but with this and the rest of the sub £1000 prize competitions, the limit is time.

All the sub £1000 competitions will be limited to one week, but the X Box is even less, it started today, and we close it at midnight next tuesday.

So if only 20 people enter, and youre one of them, youve got a 1 in 20 chance of winning!

Cheers,

ATB

Well,

I think we can take it that the X Box isnt popular then!

LOL!

So far, the 5 entrants we've had stand a pretty good chance of winning!

(hope Microsoft read Scoobynet ;-)

You are listing two different closing dates for the X box on the same page. 1st & 3rd July

I filled in all my details, proceded to the payment page, and got an error page after clicking worldpay.

Will there be another x-box draw soon?
