Question

Anyone else getting a nasty vibrating buzzing noise from behind the drivers side dashboard at 4200-4500 rpm on their Sti UK ? Its driving me crazy. Doesn't happen when car is in neutral at the same revs. Any ideas ?

Cheers, Ian.

Question

I think there have been threads in drivetrain on this, it use to be caused by vibrating brake lines on the classic models, not quite sure what it is now, you may have to do a search for it

Hi Chaps

This was someone thing I asked about about 6 months ago but cannot find it in the search.
I have a RB5 MY99 which did exactly the same.
I took it to the dealer and they fixed it.
If you look at the driver side of the engine bay - at the top of the engine bay you will see about 4 very thin pipes that are run along the engine bay.
These were vibrating against the bulkhead itself and causing a buzzing.
The dealer put some foam between them and the bulkhead and problem solved.
