Why did they remove this from the P1?

The waterspray that is...........
Why ?? Am I right in thinking that it was standard on the STi import...... was there a good reason to remove it (other than to put the spotlight switch there ) ???
Anyone shed light on this - and can you retro fit it, if it serves any performance benefit.......

APS use the windshield resevoir as the waterspray tank and add a smaller tank for the windshield, mounted just in front of the battery, where there is a bit of room between the battery and the back of the headlight.
