Most of the facist bastar....sorry, Police, round here are converting to Ford Galaxy's, look half decent - fully marked up, triangle blues on roof, twin lamps, black alloys.

I assumed they were taking over from range rover - 4 seats, bags of gear, slow as hell, but was along side one today and a couple of noticable things make me think there may be more than meets the eye - The pork galaxy had 4 pot AP calipers front and rear, with drilled discs, and was running Goodyear F1s!! Sounded more than the standard VW VR6 lump ticking over as well!

Same smug, not-quite-recovered-from-frontal-labotomy expression behind the wheel though!

 

Yeah the brakes were designed/specced up by a friend of mine at AP, originally about 3 years ago for the Northamptonshire? Armed response vehicles. apparantly after 2 stops from 100mph fully loaded the fluid boiled and the brakes were useless! Worth thinking about if you own/hire one.
