UK Spec modified ECU etc...

Hi, I know this is the wrong forum, does anyone with a possum link etc know where to get insurance?
I have tried a few now without success
To say I am a pit pi55ed off is an understatement.
Should we be using, what the eye doesn't see the insurance companies don't grieve type of attitude?
Email me offline with any tips or insurance company suggestions, PLEASE oh PLEASE before I end up smashing my phone too bits because all I now have a constant ringing in my ears repeating, "SORRY, WE DON'T DON'T ENTERTAIN ANY PERFORMANCE MODS"...

Hi,
Try Barclays insurance - they don't have a problem with mods, and band them +20%, +30% etc over stock HP.
Good quality insurance policy with a low XS too (£100).
Cheers,
Alex

Jacko,
I'm with greenlight (who seem trackday and mod friendly). I asked how much it would cost if I put a Link in, the reply was "oh about £50" They charged £42 just for the exhaust. Couldnt work it out myself.

Don't bother going the don't bother to inform them route. You are making a legal statement on the proposal and to hide an ECU change is fraud. When you write your car off and they refuse to pay - and rightly so - you will squeal. If you hit someone else and turn them into a quadraplegic and their insurance company decide to sue you for damages for the hell of it you will squeal even more.
I'm not preaching, just pointing out the potential implications.

Sorry, all bits sold (or will be when the promised readies are in my grubby little pocket.....)
The only thing to do is keep trying - there is someone out there that will insure you...
