Cheers Phil (Salsa King)

I got my first scoob about 3/4 weeks ago now and was planning to finally meet a few of the midlands clan at the Nottingham meet this afternoon.
However on wednesday my car (MY95)was stolen from outside my work and on friday morning I had a phone call from Mr Policeman saying it had been found in Southampton!!!! With a very nice dent in the front and a knackered door lock. Anyway after much screaming and promising to chop the ********* off the thieves if I ever get my hands on them I came to the conclusion that having a nice car was pointless as some b@st@#rd will always spoil it.
Feeling like this, and the damage to the car it made going to the meet far from appealing, as seeing fellow scoobys in one piece and mine in the garage was likely to depress me further. So I sent a message to Phil (Salsa King) saying I wouldn't be their and five minutes later I got a phone call from him saying how gutted he was to hear about the car, and that if I needed any help with repairs or anything he and some of the Nottingham gang would be glad to asisst.
After a chat with Phil and realising that I'm not the only one to have their pride and joy damaged by others who are simply jealous of other peoples possessions I started to feel better, and infact determined that if anything the one thing I wouldn't do is give up the car. The insurance may go up when I renew and I may have to spend more cash on getting further thief deterants on the car but I am determined not to give up the one thing I have waited so long for (nearly 3 years).
Anyway the point of this post is just to say thanks to Phil as I really did feel like it wasn't worth all the cash outlay and sacrifices I've made to get the car if this was gonna continue to happen, it just felt like I'd worked so hard to get it and fianlly I was over the moon after a travel to Bridlington (East Yorkshire) to pick it up and then some little sh@t came along and destroyed all that in one afternoon.
I now realise that it is worth it and to think positively it may not get stolen again, but instead I may infact have 12 months of hassle free motoring, but if I give it all up I will never find out.
I've waited long enough for this car and I am not gonna let some little sh@t destroy all that because he wants what I've got.
I get the car back on friday (or so I've been told), so here's to 12 months of looking forward to roundabouts and smiling every time a nova revs its engine at the lights!!
See you all at the next Nottingham meet (lets make it soon).

Sorry to hear your bad news.
Just out of curiosity, is it a white one? I've had 2 white ones and sold them both to people in Bridlington.

As Phil says the car is a Green MY95 UK turbo with a bit of work done by Prodrive. Green Prodrive wheels and a later rear spoiler.
I'll post a pic when I get it back.
Phil - Cheers mate, the pics from the meet looked good, I guess I should of made the trip anyway. Hers to the next one (asap).
