Been waitin fer a premium silver touch up pen from my dealer since April (when I bought the car).

He reckons there are three different shades of premium silver and has been sent the wrong two so far. Is this rubbish ? Should I have to be chasing after 4 months for a touch up pen ?!

He should get it right first time. Just give him the paint code.

I thought the scratch repair kits at Halfords looked very good, but none came with pens for my O1G colour code. I e-mailed Customer Services asking if they could provide an 'empty' kit that they could mix to order, as the in-store advice was that this couldn't be done. EVENTUALLY, I got a response:

"If your car colour is not one of our stocked range then we, unfortunately,
do not have a special order service to order one.

However, we do have our Minimix paint mixing system in all superstores
where we can mix any one of 4500 colours, so we can definately match your
car colour. We can offer a can with a touch up brush for £7.99, but this
brush is not the same as the scratch repair kit. In a few weeks time we
plan to supply stores with empty touch up pens (the same as the unique ones
in the colour brush kit) that can be supplied with any paint that is mixed
in store.

Primer and laquer touch up pens, required to complete the professional
finish, can be found on the shelves at most stores.

I trust this information will be of assistance to you and assure you that
this matter has had our full attention."

Afew weeks has certainly passed but I have yet to see if this has yet transpired.

Hope this is of some use.

You could try Halfords they will make you a touch up can (spray or brush) if you tell them the paint code number from the chassis plate. I had one made up in royal silver (792) and it matched perfectly.

Plate is on the inner wing under the bonnet (at least on my MY00) and code is three digit number.

Lift up the bonnet and look for a silver plate about 3x2 inches it should be near the windscreen. The pain code is a three character code.

Thumbs up

Cheers. Found it on top of the passenger side strut (MY99). Colour code is 792. I'll chase the dealer daily and also look at the Halfords option.

Cheers fer the feedback....
