Hi Steve. I have a MY97 and this doesn't understeer as bad as my friends (babber) MY01. He was all set to get the bumpsteer done until he fitted a set of Bridgestone SO2's and now he says its perfect. However I haven't driven the car with the new SO2's because due to my roundabout antics they had to be fitted in the first place.
Regards

If Powerstation are too far away, then I'd just get the geometry set up properly - you'll notice a vast improvement over the standard set up.

In theory, anywhere competent with geometry could do this. However, at the moment only Powerstation (http://www.powerstation.org.uk) perform this mod.

Mine will be going in to be done next time I'm a bit further south. I have yet to see anything apart from glowing reviews of it, but will let you know my feelings once done.

There's a search facility on this site, which will bring up loads of information on the bumpsteer modification.

Or go to:

It is a MY01 but the old shape. It certainly did understeer loads before the SO2's.

Wink

It isn't a MY01 then. It is a MY00 registered in '01. MY is when the model was introduced, not when it was registered.....

Sorry I thought that as some parts were changed then it was a MY01. Is a MY01 the new shape then ? Does that mean if its the year its introduced then there is no MY00 ect because they are the same as a MY99 ?

If its a MY00 or 99 or whatever then does it need the bumpsteer doing ? Has anyone noticed such a difference with the SO2's.
