If you ever get caught speeding (not likely to if you drive a scoob, right) , there is a web site that you fill in all the questions they ask , and it gives you the possible outcome , ie points/fine/dq , hopefullt none of you will have to use it (yeah right).

40 MPH roads are odd some are built up but others are dual carriageways and main roads that aren't in built up areas which have just been reduced to 40 mph. This winds me up no end! Read lately that one local road had been reduced in speed from 60 to 40 to reduce congestion (eh, that really doesn't make much sense). The traffic on the road is now travelling 33% slower and the road is much more congested. Expect in the evenings when the police man it obviously!

Don't want to sound like an old fart, but to be caught doing 51mph, your speedo was reading between 55-60mph. In a 40mph zone.
I'm not saying I don't speed, I just wouldn't complain about it in public if I was in the wrong!

Just had a little go on the link..
The Verdict
You were caught driving at 160mph on a motorway. The maximum speed that you
can drive your vehicle on this class of road is 70mph. You were doing 90mph over the limit. As a guideline, the penalty for exceeding a speed limit of 70mph by 90mph is a fine of £150 to £600 and an endorsement of 6 penalty points. At this excessive speed, the court is likely to order a period of discretionary disqualification - you should consult a solicitor immediately.
..obviously not up to date as this should have stated a mandatory ban, not that I have done or owned anything that can do 160mph!
