I'm probabily going to take the A5 across from the M1 (j20) to the M6 (j12) It looks like it should miss the worst of it??
I'll try to get there arround 9ish, could you mail me your mob no. and car detials so I know who to look for. (I'll mail you my mob no. once I work out what it is (don't use it much))
P.S. I can't get a Subaru polo shirt for love nor money, any ideas??
Cheers, Roy.

To allow for lateness and motorway traffic and problems, I think a time of 09:30am in order to get across to the M62 will be sufficient - if you think this is not enough/too much then please say.
I have so far selected Stafford services on the M6 Northbound as a meet up point.
I can sort out a later meet point for anyone who is Nroth of there and wishes to drive up with us.
I shall get hold of some black ribbon so we can travel up as Mellow has suggested with one on each of our ariels.
Please post up if you are going to meet up so I can ensure I leave with everyone who wants to convoy.
Regards,
Michelle.

I'll probabily be travling up the A14/M6 to the meet point, Although a bit worried about M6 through Birmingham at rush hour?
Cheers, Roy.

I drove down the M62/M60/M6 this morning at around about the time that we would be travlling upwards.
The carriageways North seemed more clear than the Southbound ones I was on - although I do expect the travelling speeds to average 40-70 I doubt much more.
There are two sets of roadworks - first set on the bridge around Manchester (J20 onwards???? can't remember) so expect there to be time consuming.
Another set later on which seemed to be more freeflowing.
Took me just over an hour and a half to get to Stafford North junction from M61/M62 join on a Monday morning too!
I estimate the journey will take around 2 hours which will make it 11:30 (hopefully that we get to Mellow's meet point.
I think 09:30 should be fine, if not then someone please speak up now, especially if they are accustomed to doing this journey regularly.
Birmingham will be a nightmare from 07:30 08:00 onwards if not earlier
I know a route to avoid it if anyone wishes to try an alternative.
I will ensure I have a sufficient amount of black ribbon too.
Cheers,
Michelle.

You have mail.
Have I forgotten to email anyone about details etc? Please say now.
I will compose a list of who I am meeting with so that I don't leave without everyone.
I have also got an emergency route if there is an accident or such on the M6. we have till latest 1pm to get to Birch so we should be fine. If we are ahead of time and peeps are hungry, we can stop at one of the services for a bite.
Cheers,
Michelle.

Have to drop by the local dealers tomorrow, so I'll check if they have one if you're still stuck.
C U @ Birch (FYI - as Little Miss is sorting the route - it's around a mile before jn 19 eastbound on the 62)
