Fair play mate a cossie powered Mark two. Excellent choice. I too have a mark two RS2000 that I'm going to rebuild with a cossie engine. My play car for the summer. I have a five link sus. kit, etc.
Much better fun than the Scooby I have.
Turbo as well, that's what I'm planning to do with mine. Good mate, said that he'll sort the wiring out.
Well done mate, cheers Phill C

Dingy,
Did you do the original conversion yourself ?, I used to have a MK2 and after seeing the 3 London cars in Fast Car in 97 I've always fancied getting another RS2 and dropping in the cossie lump. If you did it yourself how easy is the conversion ?. My old RS2 had 140@rear wheels (1985 - so it wasn't bad) when I finished with it - cost me a bloody fortune and I had the engine out about 20 times !!. Ended up with full race Crane cam that only picked up from about 4750 rpm !!. I've a chance to buy my old car back again - but it's been 14 years and half a dozen owners since I last had it - conditions poor but it has less miles on it now than when I sold it !!. Might be tempted yet.
Kevin.

I have had my engine out 3 times in the year its bean on the road.....
Its an Expensive conversion if you want it to last. I did all the work myself from the MK II Rally Preperation book.
I can get all the parts need for the conversion if your generally interested.
I can give the cost of the Body pats required if yer tell me the spec of the car......
PS. mine has 320 @ the wheels with a 60 degree ACT........
