Facelifted Impreza!!

ROFL
Not that I give a rats ****, but suppose they decided to facelift the car and it looked even worse than the bugeye. Oh, hang on, if this pic *IS* the facelift, they just did
What would all those people that have been complaining about the bugeye/waiting for the facelift do now. Oh, I know, complain about the facelift and wait for the MY04 facelift LOL

Has to be said - I like it too (over the original bugeye)
However, if Subaru started fitting Morrettes as standard.....
Now that would be a different story.
Is there any mention of the '03 going on a diet?

That's only an impression of the supposed car not the real thing, as its obviously been photoshopped, look for a bonnet shut line leading away from the lights. I've seen similar pictures before in autocar/autoexpress.

i suspect the above replies are all from bugeye owners. I reckon the headlights look good (better than goggles). and not a cluster seem on amy other car. The rst looks the same, but then it is a facelift and not a butt lift!

If only Subaru could make the Impreza look nice!! as well as go well. I mean, the current one is terrible, I cant help laughing at them when I see them, whereas the old shape looks wicked, and like a rally rep should.
This "new" one looks as pants as the current one, hopefully doesnt get any further than the drawing board, and certain individuals in the design department should lose their frikkin' jobs!!

Just taken a closer look, and thats appauling. Check out the edge of the indicator area, where it meets the wing. The crease line of the wheelarch just stops at it, so obviously fake. Plus the standard front end has just been stretched a little.
Rubbish.

Something dont look right as the headlight is not visable on the front wing in the rear quater pic, you should be able to see the top left corner of the light but it just shows the panel. Also when looking at the small rear quarter pic in coral photo paint and zooming in, I can just see what looks to be the orange wing reflector faintly visable. Also the rear light in the larger of the pictures shows red and yellow when at that angle I would expect to only be able to see white. I have circled the areas with red in this picture

Main problem I could see with the bug eyes is that fact the whole light area has the reflective silver backing, a massive shiny area that looks kinda crap and gives the car a suprised/shocked 'face'. They just need to bung on the STi7 lights, which look a whole lot better imho.
Andrew, possibly biased STi7 (prodrive) owner.
