What happens about my insurance now??
#1
Last october a lorry pulled out on my wife on a bend and it was illegally parked,no indication was used and as the lorry moved off from the pavement my wife swerved(automatic reaction) and caught an on coming bus.
The witnesses include the bus driver and two people on the bus. They put statement through that it was totally the lorry drivers fault
This is going to court but what happens if this isnt resolved by the time my renewal is up in sept
Its £1100 at the moment MY96 STi and i havent got protected ncb because the wife is 27.....i'm 32
Will i lose my ncb, have to pay a big premium
and get some money back if we win the case plus my £500 excess
Cheers

I'd have thought it would be treated as a pending claim, and not affect renewal as a closed fault claim would. If you stay with the same insurer i'm sure this would be the case, then if you lost the case, you would be affected on your next renewal.
That makes sense anyway, and is only fair - however we are talking about insurance companies so they will probably fleece ya and double your premium!

I Can answer it but your not going to like the answer.
No claims bonus is just that - no CLAIMS bonus. Not no blame bonus!
At the moment you have made a claim.
Unfortunately until your claim is settled non fault, your NCB will be reduced any additional premium you pay, will be returned to the penny when your NCB is re-instated.
You could try and get your insurance company to establish 100% liability then they may not reduce your NCB.
