I visit the XR web site a little due to my Escort Cabriolet, its a good site as is Scoobynet.

Things I like about it are:-

1. It e-mails you when you get a post on a thread you start

2. It shows how many views a post has had - not just the number of replies

3. It shows the name, date and time of the last contributor to the thread alongside the title

Are these things possible on here?

I hope no-one has a go at me for suggesting these things, I KNOW its a free BBS - but ideas are ok, surely?

2&3 are good ideas - had wondered suggesting 2 since the SIDC BBS does this.

pslewis - thanks for the suggestions.

1. Is already possible by clicking the "email notification" tick box on the thread submission page.

We are actually going to be launching new bbs software shortly which has been writing entirely in-house and is about 99% complete bar testing so feature suggestions are more than welcome.

2. Views will be shown, but possibly not in the first release. There is a slight complication with importing the original threads as they will show zero views, etc. But I think this will be in place within a month or so.

3. Again, this will not be in the initial release, but may be included shortly after as long as it does not hit the server too badly.

I have a chum who runs a BB with similar features - it is provided by ezboards (I think) most of those have the same features. This is an Ultimate Bulletin Board type BBS, and one of the best featured I've seen . Not seen view counts or last to reply on any UBB board
