Had a test drive of a STi type UK yesterday. At low revs it's quite slow to pick up, but once above 3000rpm the thing just flies up to the red-line. Handling felt a lot different to my MY98 turbo, but was very stable. My overall impression - very impressed. Also, speaking to the salesman he told me that their's is getting fitted with a PPP very soon, which should increase the power to a stonking 310bhp!!!

As you've probably guessed, I'm very tempted to get one. So, before I sign my life away, what's your views on the car?

Everybody that owns a new STi loves them, most ppl that have P1's or old STi's dont, go with what you like most and can afford, if you use the search feature there are loooooads of STi threads.

Buy Two

Giving it holy joyful (over 4K Rev's standard ) goes and handles like a rocket cruising around is as comfortable as most family shopping cars So usefull as an everday car

But does suffer from being a bit lardy and litlle Torque at low Rev's. so definately leave enough money over for PPP(Release date yet to be annononce) but soonish

This PPP is going up 5bhp per week with the dealers . Started at "280 bhp" then "300 bhp" then "301 bhp" then a couple of rumours of "305bhp" now "310 bhp" biggest difference would be to lose 100kgs of weight IMHO.

the only way it could lose that weight would be for me to drive it by remote control LOL

And in that case I'll wait till christmas for my PPP should be 350Bhp by then LOL but it doesn't need great Bhp gains but requires LOADS more Torque low down

Tony
