been getting a very bad squeeling noise from the front near side wheel and noticed this morning that the disc has been grooved as well. Was drving past a Humphries tyre place so popped in there to get it up on the jack. The brake guy told me that the caliper has seized up and i need to replace it and also the hose but he said I should replace both front calipers at the smae time then said they were £500 each!!!!!!! Can i fix a caliper? or where can i buy a new one from for the less than £500! can't seem to find anywhere on the net.

the car is an import 95 WRX.

Any help will be much appreciated!

Dont worry you dont have to pay £500 they are being ****... you could upgrade to some subaru 4 pots for less than that with discs and pads..

I've mailed u a list of subaru breakers which as previously mentionned u can buy new 4 pots for £500 or so from GGR etc... but 2nd hand from breakers for a fair few quid less than £500 a corner as u were quoted pi$$ take for 1 sir?

just checked GGR brakes & pair of STi 4 pot converstion is £595 so even with fitting etc on top with bits & bobs considerably cheaper & it's a MOD
