Question

Are there any panels that are not covered by the Body Warranty?

Question

I would have thought that all the panels were covered (inc the roof).
Its mainly for the underbody corrosion though AFAIK that the body service covers, new underseal etc and wax sprayed into the gaps in the bodywork making your car smell lovely (for a while )

Thats what I was hoping Tony!

A certain dealer tried to tell me that the roof was not covered under the 'Body Warranty' to which i replied, so the roof is not an integral part of the body? I got no respose from that one!

I shall go back in on Tuesday and have a quiet discussion with them

Wink

I think you may kick some *** there
The galvanised body parts should cover the entire car, inside and out as its all done at once
Just give em ****

I wouldn't mind paying for it myself if the car was 5 or 6 years old but the car is only just coming up to 2 years old

Still gives me something to look forward too on Tuesday

Cheers Tony

According to my service book the bodywork is supposed to be serviced/inspected once a year and the book stamped otherwise the warranty is null and void.

Ian,
I visited my local dealer (Lincoln) about rust in the top corners of my boot (saloon car) that has appeared from what looks like the rubbers and has spread to the rear screen - this I noticed the day after I bought it (not happy!!!) - worth a check on yours?

Anyway they where helpful...it turns out all panels up to the bottom of all the windows/windscreen are covered - ABOVE these are NOT covered.

So my rust was covered BUT the 3 year check/underseal had not been carried out 4 months earlier and as Subaru keep a record of all vehicle checks it was not possible to back date it. So I'm having to pay for the repair myself.

Hope this helps,
Steve.
