I am looking to import an impreza direct from japan about 97-98 year Type R or RA, the importing company over there has very honestly informed me of possible problems with this year passing SVA gas emissions.

Obviously I don't wat to buy it then get stuck but surely there must be a way around it or else no one would be doing it, do they mean noise regulations....hence the UK model having the low part throttle boost problem.

I would be very greatfull if someone could help me out here who knows or has just imported one themself.

Thanks in advance

Daz.

basically cars manufactured after 97 have to have the exhaust emissions tested, this costs about £500, plus the SVA @£150 plus the conversions blah blah blah.

Mail me more details (spec, company importing it etc)

Matt@intcarimports.demon.co.uk

Should be able to help.
