If u are after discounts with suppliers I suggest for a mere £5 for 1 yr membership take a look at ScoobyCity
We are working hard to get a good list of discounts with a number of UK suppliers ..

This is question that gets asked time and time again
I for one recover my membership just on discount I recieve on my main dealer servicing
In the first year I must have saved at least £100 just on parts
Also True Grip a quality Mag 4 times a year
There is obviously the meets and track days they organise if thats your bag
So in Summary in my case YES without a doubt

Yes I get discounts on things I have brought and enjoy the magazine. No reason why you cant join all of them if you want . The SIDC is the biggest though by far, its grown a lot which is not bad seen as Subaru UK dont really want to know

Yip, This is a must. True Grip is an excellent read and you get good track time too. Worth the money IMHO.
I don't get Subaru discount cause I'm a bad Jap WRX Import owner but what the hell.....

Of course it's worth it
It costs less than half a tank of fuel for you annual membership, which is actually less than many other car clubs. It's hardly a major financial investment compared to the running costs of a Scooby, and many people save more than the annual fee through discounts and deals.
You get a quartely full colour magazine (usually over 40 pages), with articles and photos submitted by members (copy deadline for the next issue is upon us, so if anyone wants to see their articles in print, get them submitted in the next day or so).
You also get a couple of windscreen stickers, and a tax disc holder (to replace the dealer supplied one ), and your membership card.
You also get discounts on parts and servicing from manu Subaru dealers and specialists. We have recently agreed discounts on two more suppliers, for quality car care products, and also performance tyres at discount prices (see http://forums.sidc.co.uk/messageview...&threadid=2032), fitted nationwide.
The club also organises quite a few track events throughout the year (usually the cheapest and best!), and we have a growing network of regional organisers to arrange local events for members.
The club also run events like the spectacular Isle of Man event next month (see www.sidc.co.uk/iom.htm for full info, still time to book up), and the renowned Tour d'Ecosse 3 day tour of Scotland every year.
It is true that this isn't what some people want, but the club is there for the benefit of it's members, so if you have any ideas about other things the club could do (especially if you could help out ), then please let the club know http://forums.sidc.co.uk/categories.cfm?catid=5 in our suggestions forum.
Cheers

Ron,
Nope....
All I get are 4 Magazines (eventually), the last of which seemed to give me out of date Rally Info and a load of adverts.
Before anyone has a go, I know they want more articles sent in from members, and it's our club, if you don't like it nominate this that and fannies ya aunt, have your say at the AGM blah..blah...blah.
I've read/heard it all before.
Local dealers to us don't give discount (well they didn't on my last visit for Parts) and they won't for your WRX anyway.
Get a Subscription to Jap Performance or Banzai it'll be much more worth it.
And if the price is going up to £29.99 IMHO they can forget it.....
P.S Will be looking to change my SIDC Tax Disc holder to a Scoobynet version at the end of this membership year.
See Ya !!!!!:|
