Does the TURBO Kick in, in Reverse?
#1
so how many of you tried it then? make the Turbo kick in, when u put ure foot down in reverse! lol, i'm tempted to this
so would it actually come into play? and would i go flying forwards and hit the windscreen? or is that a bit extreme?

yup i've done it a couple of times.
once the turbo comes in, its a fast accelerating backwards as it is forwards - pretty scarey actually.
only thing i found is it pops out of gear eventually if you boot it too hard.
BTW i did it on a test track too.

as much as I am tempted to try this......no no no
daft idea,
yes it will conme on boost BIG TIME.
reverse is the lowest gear you have.
imagine booting it in first gear now double the acceleration
and your somwhere near what it will do

The Sti7 hangs on longer around corners in reverse than a standard WRX though the lag is longer. The tendancy to overstear all but disappears though I am told that an evo's anti yaw makes for faster turn in but the small fuel tank soon cuts short the fun.
