Can mods make an announcement

Scoobynet mod mode off
As far as I know the Fatal accident in question was nothing to do with scoobynet, only someone who posts using it.
Looking at things dispassionatly. Why would scoobynet, via simon the webmaster or a mod make an official annoucement over something that has nothing to do with them? Again thinking dispassionatley would the times newspaper publish a comment on someone who had had a letter sent in two or three times?
In my opinion(not necessarily Scoobynets) its much better to keep it off the BBS where speculatation, mud slinging and potentially legally explosive comments will be made. Also its very personal to the people involved and as such best left in private where the hurt and pain of this incident can be left to heal where friends and family can provide the best possible support.

My sincere condolences go to both parties that have been effected in the mentioned incident.
Since the last thread ended up having to be deleted, because of the rather delicate nature, I am locking this thread as well.
If the persons involved in the incident wish to discuss it on this BBS, that is there perogative......but until then, all such related topics by others will be removed.
Regards,
Shaun.
