Before I get blasted, I`m not saying that the T-5 will destroy the scoobe, so please read what i`m saying first!!

I`m sure a scoobe can out accelerate and out perform on the twisty bits, so if you ever want to run from one lead it off the motorway and on to country lanes...then its bye bye Volvo!! never let one chase you on the motorway, as it has a top speed of 155mph, possibly tweeked to give more.

But they do handle reasonably well, I dont know how tuned up the police T-5s are, they did quite well it BTCC, the estate shape did not put them to a great disadvantage.

At the time when the BTCC rules didn't allow race spoilers, the Volvo Estate worked out better aerodynamically that their saloon cars, so that's why they ran them. When the BTCC rules changed to allow race spoilers, the saloon became the competetive choice.

I don't care how fast you are, you can't outrun a radio!

There's quite a strong 'outrun the police' mentality in the biker world, but remember that the police riders and drivers are pretty quick (not necessarily all that safe, but that's another story), have reasonably fast kit, and only have to get one glimpse of your number plate to do you for far more than speeding.
