Is this for real?????? Note the spacing between the white lines. At that speed those lines would look like one solid line. Just looks weird.........

This has been flying around at other forums and the general consensus is that it is a fake. Apparently the theory is it's quite easy to fake speedo calibration on bikes. Most bikers who have seen this have said the scenary, white lines and junctions etc are going far too slowly for 200+mph
It's worth bearing in mind a few things before you decide.
(i) On-board videos always make it appear like you're going much slower than you actually were
(ii) If it's a drag-bike (looking at the picture I'd say wholeheartedly YES) then no-doubt it has a quick-shifter which means clutchless full-throttle gearchanges, which would explain why the accelleration doesn't tail off during gearchanges
(iii) It is most likely not on standard gearing, which would knock the speedo out one way or another unless he keeps it geared the same way all the time and the speedo has been recalibrated
There's no doubt that he has monster horsepower though, I have to agree that the road markings etc do seem to be moving a bit slower than I would expect for 240mph.
Almost forgot (iv) that bloke's a nutter

Its fake IMHO.
Look how fast the speedo jumps up to 40mph as he's turning in the road at the beginning. Also, you see his reflection in the speedo. Would you sit up at over 150mph like that?

hang on a minute... sceptics..
I though that the standard hayabusa is the fastest top speed bike on the road, according to the guiness book of records... around 190mph... i know this is true... see here the bottom of this page...
http://www.hyp4r.com/hayabusa/specs_performance.htm
Also if you look at the link above it gives the max speed in each gear and if you play the vid and look at the gear changes you will see they are nearly exactly the same as the max in gear speeds the site states...
1st Gear : 135 Kph
2nd Gear : 185 Kph
3rd Gear : 230 Kph
4th Gear : 275 Kph
5th Gear : 305 Kph
6th Gear : ??? Kph
So from the pics you can see he has a huge turbo on the bike, are you telling me that he cant get another 40 mph out of that bike, with all those mods....???
KPH are in the middle of the speedo....

Can someone explain why the speedometer goes up when the front wheel is in the air? It surely wouldnt spin as fast as the rear wheel, would it?
Anyway, when you look at the lane, you can see the thing is going very fast when the speedo indicates 220!

So it is. Damn that is impressive - the speed it accelerates from 140 to 200 mph is like nothing. He wasn't even flooring it until he pulled the wheelie.

Is this gen'? He does 60-100mph is 2 seconds dead That is silly fast!! Oh, also also, he does that on the back wheel The 150-200 increment takes 6 seconds, that is nutcase quick - surely its not actually accelerating that fast?? Also, I thought bikes stuggled to get above 180-90mph. Didn't think there were too many road bikes that can hit 220!!!
