I got my starter pack on Friday and gave the car the full treatment over the weekend and all I can say is this stuff is superb MY93 WRX was gleeming....if anyone is thinking about buying some new polish soon dont waste your money at Halfords etc give this guy a call....

I also spent some of Sunday, although not as long as I expected cleansing and waxing my P1. Even on a brand new car the difference is great. £65.00 well spent.

I did mine too on Saturday for the first time, and I have seen nothing like it before.

The quality of the WW Subaru kit is outstanding. I have been telling all of my mates about it since - they think I am sad, but have not seen the results yet!!

I would suggest however that glass cleaner is added to the kit. It is the one thing I feel that I need, but am reluctant to add buy something for £2.50 and add £4.00 for postage.

As Mossman said, he'll be representing us at Cadwell Park this Thursday.

To Scott and Steve, products at the moment are only avaible mail order although we have a new outlet in France and soon I hope one or two here in the UK.

I am currntly reviewing our product range as we have some new waxes added and are deleting one or two items. Along with this I am reviewing prices of every single item including starter packs/kits. Starter Kits are already heavily discounted let alone any sidc discount that is applied. We are also currently reviewing "p&p" rates.

As to buying a glass cleaner for £2.50 there is no way that we would claim £4.50 p&p. Just the cost of sending it 1st class post plus a little.

We are continually striving to improve the product range and more importantly our levels of customer service and as such will be appearing at numerous club events. Mossman is at Cadwell Park and I will be Alford in a few weeks time.

Having carried out a recent survey we will be initiating some changes with effect 1st June 2000. Those who would like details pse call me 0800 074 1608 office hours or visit our website. Kit prices which to some may appear to be initially expensive, do contain all the basic essentials for making your car look a million dollars. Thrown in also your get access to me 7 days a week for your problem solving etc.

Used Marks Merlin Wax at the weekend and it is the best wax I have ever used, a dream to apply and a bigger dream to remove to an amazing mirror finish ..... car looks better than it did the day I picked it up off the forecourt ( except from those flippin stone chips ).

The merlin wax starter kit is the one I got and the wax is so easy to apply and remove and also no white dust sticking all over your car...(owners of black or dark cars will know what I mean) Well worth every penny.

I cant help wondering if it is a case of the emperors new clothes with this product ( people justifying the cost to themselves and others by saying how good it is). I have no experience of Wax Wizard Products and did consider buying the Subaru Wax but it is so expensive. They dont appear to do sample packs which I could test against AutoGlym (which I use). One post (a while back) compared Auto Glym and Wax Wizard. I understood that post to consider the products pretty similair in terms of results.

it may seem expensive but when you see the results its worth it, believe me. Benefits are, not needing to clean your car so often because the dirt simply cant hold on to the car anyway near as well, you dont need to spend as much time or effort when you are performing the cleaning process and my car looks miles better with these products than autoglym or any other I have used. Bear in mind I am using the older wax too (and have been for some 6 months). The newer stuff is even better. Buy it and soon you will join the ranks of people singing its praises.

I have to agree with Stupot. I was a regular user of Autoglym, and you will not believe how much better the WW stuff is. I was caught in a downpour on Sunday, and immediatly started swearing at my wasted effort the day before waxing my car with my new kit. As I drove along the water was "flying off" the car, and when the rain stopped there was hardly a mark left. A quick rinse with a bucket of clean water, and the car looked like new again.

On top of this, it is easy to apply, and does not leave a white residue (no more white edges to door handles, trim or screen washers etc..) For me it's a bit like getting a washing machine, once you have one you don't know how you lived without it!! However, some people may be happy slapping their clothes on a river bank for hours at a time, after all it achieves the same results doesn't it?

I was an Autoglym user for about 12 years thought nothing would touch it but Mark sent me a free sample ( enough to do the whole car !) and I've not looked back since, it's easyier to apply and remove and no white residue just a mirror finish, the best finish I've seen in a car wax (bloody good on the kitchen fridge as well ... stops those fridge magnets from sticking, they just slide off )

I had been an Autoglym user for many years including preparing my cars for Classic shows etc.

The Wax Wizard products really produce a stunning result & depending on your requirements, don't have to cost a fortune.

I use their shampoo, cleanser, SIDC wax, vinyl protector (on tyres + plastic sills) & glass cleaner. All of these products are superb!

Some big differences between Autoglym & WW:
*No white bits.
*Kind to paintwork.
*Kind to hands (using Autoglym stuff I always used to get a skin reaction on my fingers to the petroleum in the Autoglym "wax".
*Fun to use (smells nice - very slippy finish)

I am just finishing my 1st bottle of the WW Liquid Carnuba Wax. Can't say I am very impressed. Asked my wife to give me an objective assessment of "before" and "after" results and she couldn't see any difference (of course I could because I just spent 1.5 hours doing it ). I certainly haven't noticed any dirt repellency

However I do agree that customer service is very very good!!!

also got another new scooby owner interested in the stuff. he's a confirmed autoglym user of several years and also wonders at the justification of the price of WW stuff.

do you provide any freebie testers of products for us slightly cynical types ! (who've just spent all their cash on a scooby and now have to convince 'er indoors that we really really need polish etc for more than a tenner )

mainly posts in favour of it so i suppose i need to try it (and get my m8 to) and see if we can become members of the WW club.

I'll be delighted to have a chat but please on Thursady as I'm out most of the day on Friday. I'm sure I can arrange a small sample for you to try of the new Merlin Wax.

Cost justification! Surely all the raves bar one says it all. The one (no offence Subarussian) that disagrees has the entry level liquid carnauba. Its made and formulated to meet Mer and Autoglym head on, so much so it recently won in a product shoot out in a magazine. When progessing up the range, the initial cost is or can seem to be high for a starter kit. But in the kit we now supply everything for you to attack your car with except for a specialist wheel cleaner. Taking into account all that is supplied including applicators, towels etc the cost per application is around a quid or so. Value for Money..I think so as do others especailly as the wax will provide so many waxings. Combine that with the benefits etc these add to the VFM. One kit to last you ages (twixt 1 and 2 years). Therefore at around 50'sh quid that 25 quid per year on a moteor that cost in excess of 20 odd grand! A small price to pay to keep your investment looking at its best.

The odd disatifyed customer...yeah sure we get them too but they are a rarity.

If u aint happy after that ...then I dont know what will satisfy you. As to your towe problem..well I checked our records and after supplying over 1000 towels you have been the only client who managed to disintergrate the towel whilst washing. Some of mine are really badly stained and still going strong after washing every week for the last sevral years. Perhaps you had a rougue towel(s). Anyway I'm sure if you give me a ring on 0800 074 1608 u can tell me where you want yer free sample sent to and I'll happily oblige.

How special to the Scoob is the Subaru Wax. I've got two other cars - a MY00 german thing with a three initials in silver and a MY71 Triumph Stag in bright red cellulose.

Would the Subaru wax work on all three - or does plain old cellulose need something different?

I use my Subaru wax on my 333i - the results are excellent. If I was keeping the Beemer for ever, I would buy the specific beemer wax.

Mark: As you are obviously an expert, I'd like to ask you a couple of questions:

My old Supra's paintwork is starting to show it's 11 years of age on it's laquerless finish. Do you have a multi-step attack plan that I can use to get it back to some of its former glory? Obviously I'm not expecting a showroom finish, but I'm kind of hoping there is something that can be done. I spent over 4k buying the car, and I'd like to be able to show it off at it's best.

The dedicated scooby wax is designed around the oils based in modern Japanese water based paints.

It will quite happily go onto the bimmer but as to the snag (sorry stag) it will go on ok but better results would be obtained with a different wax for all three cars that is more oil rich like the superior wax or show wax.

The new merlin has been tested on all paints, enamels, varnish, clearcoat, twp oack etc etc and performs really well plus u get get ease of use.

Frankly it will be choice between the Superior or Merlin for optimum results. The choice is down to you A) slow application but fab results with superior or B) fast application with same results. Only difference is the wax content with superior at 51% or the Merlin at 40%.

However, if u give the the exact model numbers and paint colours as well as paint codes, I'll make you a wax specifically for all 3 cars...it will take a week or so to research and blend.

Now its up to you.

i recieved my starter kit from the wizard today
i spent 30 mins on the phone to him the day i ordered and was very impressed by his service and knowledge
i have used waxes from all over the world and as i told him about them the wizard described the bottle !!!!
this man has done his homework
i have used the products today and iam amazed
the ease and end result are the best i have ever come across
if u r unsure then i can tell u in my humble oponion that this (merlin) wax is the best i have ever used

I have checked all my emails as I do each day and answer every one! Cant see your except for one from Holland the other day.

Underside of the bonnet? Depends whether there is cosmoline on the underside or if there are any oily deposits. If this is the case u need to degrease and remove the cosmoline first using something like multiclean. Then u can use cleanse (No2) to layer the paint to produce a finish like the top side. The u can wax it if u want to.

But then where do you stop?
