just phoned IM, he said the Belgium (where mines from) sold cars with 1 year warranty for quite a while like you say, although some where sold with 3, and gave me the number of subaru belgium to phone to check, ill keep you posted.

 

Can't remember the date it came into effect but EU cars come with 2 years warranty these days.

My MY00 (Nov'99 didn't though)

However, this is a manufacturer warranty and would not have 'exactly' the same as terms as the 3 year warrranty that UK cars have as this is issued by the importer [IM] and not Subaru/FHI etc.

I bought mine from Belgium August 2000 and it has a 3 year warranty

does it not say in your service booklet? My UK car details the warranty within there.
