I feel duped having bought an My02 wrxppp with 18 inch Ozs a few weeks ago. Feel now that i should have waited for new model. Do u guys think I should lose some money now and sell, or lose much more money later when i do decide to upgrade to My03?

Disagree!
You'll lose loads that way, just enjoy it. The ppp makes the car great to drive and the new one isn't gonna be that much difft as far as I've heard.
You can always put some morettes on.
Same principle as when's the best time to buy a computer...

Cosmetic upgrade and you might find some of the parts may be transferable and compatible with the current shape. Personally I wouldnt sell, who is going to give you a good price with a new model arrving soon. Just wait and see is my advice and enjoy it. I have a classic and brought it the day after seeing the MY01 up close and personal. I dont regret buying it and I have had and still have huge fun driving it. The MY03 model looks like it carries the same engine so you wont gain any performance by swapping. Rumour has it thats its purely cosmetic.

May I ask why you feel duped? Did you not see or hear any of the rumours and fuss that's been going around?
I bought a new WRX 5 weeks ago on Monday, knowing since May this year, that a new version COULD be announced at the end of this month. It didn't bother me at all.
Don't worry about it, just enjoy the car you've got.
Cheers

I've just bought a shiny new 02. I know the new one is out in January 03, but that won't be better or faster but any great degree. It will be more expensive - no discounts for a while, I suspect. You've got an 02, and they are exceptional. Fast, comfortable, superb brakes and handling, and that is still running in. Enjoy it while you have it, see what the new one is like (and not worrying about its replacement) and decide then.

Your wrx with PPP is a wicked car - i'm getting my new one next week and knew about the MY03 but couldn't give a toss. Fit some morettes and you'll be fine. And maybe leather or something...good ice...treat your car a bit and you won't be worrying about MY03.

Thanks for the replies. After typing out this post initially, I took my new wrx out for a brisk drive down my fave set of curvy roads... I could not stop grinning for hours after, and i have barely run it in. I think i am going to keep it

Have to say not too worried about MY03 if its cosmetic only. My UK300 still turns heads and the Hella twin lights deal with any bugeye problem!! All the new changes will probably do is make it more like an Accord et al. I'd rather have something a wee bit different.

No-one knows what the 03 looks like yet (photoshop in Evo mag - allegedly), just wait until the Paris Motorshow when it will be unveiled.
You'll loose shed loads if you sell you car now m8 - if you enjoy it why worry!!
Even the Bug-Eyes don't bother me anymore - there is a almost infinite list of mods you can do should you want to. If the 03 is just a facelift, you'll probably be able to reproduce it with a modded 02 anyway.

I chopped my MY99 in for an MY02 in March. Now I've got used to it I reckon it looks better. Lets face it the old one looked like a Proton / Hyundai with some spoilers.
It's still a great car.
To hedge my bets I leased mine just for 2 years.
