Anyone know how to register your import in th UK?

Send copy of V5 and invoice from selling dealer is what my old notes show.
Best to ring them and ask what they want. I had to fax it 3 times before
they finally got it and I'm still not entirely sure they received it - they
are a bit useless. Don't send them any originals - they will
eat them and deny all knowledge. Hope you never have to claim - I've not
thankfully.

I have recently purchased a new full UK Specification Subaru Impreza Turbo from Holland and would like to register it with yourselves for the one year warranty.
The Chassis number of the car is ‘XXXXXXXXXXXXX’. The registration is ‘XXXXXX’
I have enclosed a copy of the Invoice and the Certificate Of Conformity for the car.
Please acknowledge receipt of this letter.

Has anyone had to have any warranty work done and if so what happens with the Invisible Man (IM) side of things if they won't acknowledge the registration ??????
