Bedford Speed & Feed - August 10th - What's Up?
#1
We've got an SIDC Track Day @ Bedford tomorrow afternoon/evening & there's been hardly anything on the bbs about it!
We have TN with a tyre requirements thread, Hoppy regarding RTRS, 1 convoy from Dr Evil & that's about it!
What's up - why the general lack of communications? I remember threads running for weeks before Track Days. This is an event, its exciting, its about scoobies & the people here on the bbs & it sure beats talking about Speed Cameras & Audi TTs
Whose going, when, how etc etc?
Me - I unfortunately do not have the required Pass to be able to drive, but I'm coming up to spectate, take a few pics, blag a few passenger laps & to talk the talk
What about anyone else??

I'll be there - White Sti RA for those that dont know me - coming up from central London as early as I can slide off from work.
Cant wait to be honest - although looking at the weather could be entertaining !!! Personally I'll blame Dr Evil if it rains as it rained last time I was on track with him.

Ok ok but didnt think it was worth doing a convoy from Toddington!
Oh and I would like to appologise in advance if my other half turns up in his car (flash git) Although he wont bring it on the track 'cos he is afraid he might be shown up

Scott J D, Shark and I will be there - if the weather is like this, even the drive up is going to be V.Entertaining
I think Scott is hoping to claim the fastest Scoob on the Day title ( ) so who else is planning on being a contender???

Yeah your right...
Not just about this up and coming event but other trips as well..
It seems that if it is a "Offical SIDC Event" then its on the sidc.co.uk forums so you have to check there.

Isn't that a *reason* to drive? You can often have more fun in the Wet in a Scoob!!!!

That's better folks - keep it coming
Mark
It's not obligatory to have it on the SIDC bbs only - a bit of cross-polination never hurt anyone
However, would prefer to be driving myself tho' shine or rain
Dave
Yup - I'll take you up on your offer Not been driven in a P1 yet
BTW - if the weather is like today, I'll be the one looking like a drowned rat - coming up on the bike
[hmmm]
Wonder if they'd let me do a couple of laps on the GSXR...

I had no idea it was on, I saw your thread in the southern meets section this morning but I didn't know what it was about. I would have taken the afternoon off work had I known sooner! When does it finish? Anything going on afterwards?

Just an observation - as it is an SIDC event, why is it not on the events calendar on their website? I know this is not a SIDC board but whilst we were on the subject...
Anyway, what time does it start tomorrow as I might like to come up and watch and keep James company I'll even bring along my helmet and try and blag a ride.

Puff,
I'm bringing a mate who wants to buy a scoob but would like to experience what they can do on track. Any chance of him blagging a ride with you?
He's lighter than Dave TS so you won't need to worry about the rims of the tyres rubbing the wheel arches

Excuse me for my ignorance, but is this event at the Bedford Autodrome? I live in Bedford so obviously it's pretty close to me. Can non SIDC, but Scooby owning folk come to watch?

Thought I wasn't going to make it after my MY99 PPP'd wagon was killed by a so called "joyrider"
Anway I have now taken delivery of a MY01, which I have had in my possession since, let me see, this morning I think it was
It's barely run in so I won't be caning it too hard...famous last words
