Question

Quicky, will I get in trouble by having my Geodesy in the car when in France and Germany? I know it won't work but it's hard wired in and I do not want to remove it.
Any quick answers would be great!!
Thanks,
Mossman

Well as it doesn't work in either of those countries I can't see how it could be an offense to have it!

Do France have speed cameras? I have never seen any?

You off to Paris this weekend, if so whats on? All I know is Paris hotels etc are very busy this weekend.

Germany you should be OK. In france if they spot ANYTHING that looks like a radar detector they will fine you and make you drive over it. Best Remove it if you can. Can't you remove it from its cradle and put it in your luggage when in france, then put it back in Germany?

Mossman,

Just a thought. As yet there are no pan european driving licenses. So if you do get done by a gatso there's no points involved. Its also more than likely they will bin the ticket as the effort in chasing you up(esp if you claim you don't know who was driving) is more hassle than its worth.
