I have had a quote for a 60K service on MY98 of £450 from Tileys (Bristol). This seems very steep for fluids and plugs. Is this the going rate?

Thanks for the confirmation. Any ideas why it is so much? Are they charging £100/hr?

Wink

Had my 60,000 mile service carried out on my MY97 by Robinsons of Rochdale two weeks ago for £298.47 cos I got the SIDC discount and the filter was upgraded last December so it didn't needed to looked at

Excellent price and workmanship, shame about the courtesy car (Mazda 121!)

Hi all,

Just had my 60,000 mile service done, cost me £329 including VAT, no discount for SIDC emembership, and it's a quoted price. Everything was done except the brake fluid change, which had been done the week before with my new 4 pot calipers.

Subaru Manchester did the job for me ....

Just been quoted £375 by Hawco Subaru in Inverness for a MY97 60,000 mile service. Going to look around.

Got mine M96 serviced at schowells in lye, they charged me £320 all in.
I spoke to Listers afterwards and they said why did u not bring it here as usual? When i said the price (£500), they said we could have matched it with any other dealership, so shop around and ask for a price match.

Blimey

These quotes are all very high

Glad I wont be paying anywhere near these amounts.... but then mines an import and I dont use Main dealers

If anyone lives near London area - Steve Lawson is very good....

Just wondering if you guys can confirm if your cars have actually done the milage quoted or is it the expected milage worked out on an interval of 6 months/7,500 miles.

Reason I ask is that when I got my car 6 months ago the next service was indicated in 6 months time or 52,500 miles. The car had only done 20,000 miles at that time and when queried, the garage said they actually worked the service out in months therefore it had a 42 month service.

Confused,.....I was, so presumably the next one will be its 48 month service/60,000 miles, but the cars true milage will only be around 33,000 miles??????
