P1 v EVO7 Part 2!
#1
After owning the 7 for 2 weeks i had it in for its 1000 mile service today and that means i can go up to 5k revs, i have only taken it to about 4.5k and i must say that the torque in 3rd and 4th is wicked and has the edge over the p1 ( cat-less ) already.
The biggest factor is in the wet weather its is way ahead of the p1 ( sorry folks ) i have taken some corners that i know well and carried much more speed in the wet ( 75 as appose to 65 ) with confidence instead of fear.
Regards

aha! so YOU are in the know....bob
i have been waiting for someone in the know to tell me what they know about all there is to know about those in the know who know what there is to know if indeed they know
sorry jason, old joke and thread.
on the topic, it seems you are well chuffed with big red ( if i remember rightly).
my girlfriend has had an evo6 for about a month now, my biggest gripe is the fuel guage. it plummets!! i thought the scooby was bad! how do u find the evo7? i know performance cars guzzle gas, but the evo has it down to a fine art. my car doesnt seem to do this anywhere near as much, and yet its quick. cant figure it out really.
still think the evo7 looks good though

I've had my 7 for 3 weeks now but am having trouble finding air induction kits, exhausts etc for the 7. Most suppliers seem to be working on aftermarket parts with no firm delivery dates (HKS Hyper cat back should be available end of this month). Have you changed the exhaust, filter etc?

I am well pleased with it - especially the handling which is so adjustable on the limit. I will be taking it to the Ring in September so I'll be able to really cane it there.
Made a few calls today - seems the only exhaust and breathing mods available for the 7 are the HKS Super dragger and the HKS Powerflow. The HKS Racing suction kit is not ready yet and the HKS Hyper should be about 2-3 weeks. Magnex - nothing yet, Blitz - nothing either. Power engineering are working on a full system and other aftermarket parts but again nothing ready yet. Eibach springs - also a few weeks away.
Let me know if you find anything - cheers

Has anyone tried M.A. Developements. There based Nr Maidenhead.
Theres a certain Silver Evo owner who really rates them. The company itself has built some very fast and reliable cars.
