I've just got back from holiday, driving the Scoob (MY00 UK Turbo) across Europe. What surprised me was that in all the 3530 miles I drove in the last two weeks, I only saw two scoob turbos ! Everywhere I went, (especially in Austria) people were looking at the car as though they'd never seen (or heard ) anything quite like it. Does Subaru actually sell any cars over there?
BTW, I can recommend Austria for some excellent twisty mountain roads and breathtaking scenery

I've just returned from a trip in Spain and France and everywhere we went it was as if we drove a UFO, not an Impreza.
Although we did pass a Subaru garage in Barcelona!
Spotted a couple of Imprezas driving south from Le Mans on the A138.

Frankfurt calling......
In six years here I've seen more Lambo Diablos than Scoobs!
I read somewhere that Subaru have only sold 1500 GTs up to the release of the MY01. I've never seen another MY01 on the road (except around the dealers'). Rare as rocking horse ****. Excellent!

In Greece, last year, less than 80 were sold. This year 10-15 old models and around 30 MY01. There are less than 15 5-doors in circulation. (I am the proud owner of one of them, MY00).
However, mainly due to Acropolis Rally, all youngsters know the car and its capabilities and look at it with respect.
For comparison, the total market for new cars is a little below 300.000 units yearly.

Geokat is right. Here in Greece I can't leave my rex anywhere without having people surround it, checking it out like it was a UFO. Attention is good, but too many finger marks left on the duco is nerve racking, especially after a polish and wax.

Come and visit Slovakia. Here in capital you can see many Outbacks S-Foresters but only few GT cars. In 1998 I was No.3 customer and first in capital. Today is my Scoobysport dp+bb MY98 still like alien /May be that exhaust is reason for this?/ . As I know there is only up to 25 GT in all country /4 Bugeyed/.

Here in Netherlands (Mostly driving around Rotterdam) I see Impreza Turbos quite often.
Most are MY99-MY00, sometimes older (Pre-99) and only seen MY01 a couple of times.
And yes, also here some people seem to be very interested about the car. Nothing like the Greek crowd gatherings previous posters talk about though.

So who are the rest 13 5-doors in Greece? (Proud owner of silver PD 5D MY00)
May I add that due to pricing Scoobs over here are in more or less direct competition with TT, Z3, SLK and the like so its posermobiles choise between them 90% of the time thus scoobs not popular!

...quite many in the Baltics, (well, realtively speaking, 'cause the countries are small), including a few police cars. Having lots of snow and ice in winter is the best advertising tool Subaru can dream about!
