Take a look at these babies. (Wheels, tyres and brakes)
The wheels look the dogs and the tyres feel fabulous but the brakes take the biscuit and I have out braked an EVOVII with front and rear AP's.
These are Built to the same design as the AP's but to much higher quality levels and using much better materials therefor better stopping.
They are also better finished.
The ones you see here are 304mm and will fit under the standard 16in wheels but I think I will be going for the upgrade of 330mm.
E-mail me if you want to know more.

No Richard much better than that.
I met with this guy when I was motorcycle racing and he said he could improve on the standard Honda calipers and keep the dame discs. so he did and now he makes to special order only as they are not cast like all the others.
These are definitely made to top level competition standards....... and they are cheaper too.
As I said if anyone out there really wants some -mail me.
The secret wont last long and when it gets out they will be harder and more expensive to get.

I stopped moving before he did.
It isn't Nuclear science, and if it were you're not a Nuclear Scientist are you, so you wouldn't understand any way.
To explain would take too long. Suffice to say tat my best mate owns Warrender Cars and we tested them against a Warrender 340 bhp EVO Vii with AP's. For the new Warrender Specials he will be fitting these.
OK!?

Excluding ABS..
As long as the brakes are strong enough to lock the wheels, and that the pads will continue to provide that much bite throughout the stop...
Stopping distance is a function of..
weight
weight distribution
tyre / road interface properties
brake balance
driver performance
It has nothing to do with the power in the front the brakes.
I think that's what BlowDog was getting at.
You sound very confident about the quality of the brakes, but with the above in mind, I would be interested to know how you have gauged and measured the "better" quality of everything?
I'm sure they're excellent brakes, but you need to be a little careful when you start comparing them to other brakes and making broad statements like that, as it can get us all into trouble, and potentially mislead people.
All the best

Given that they say KAD down the side of the caliper I would hazard a guess that they are....errr.....KAD! ![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif)
Don't know if they are any good though, anyone else got them?
I knew Simon would get in there with the technical bit on braking performances....and rightly so, there are too many people that think the more 'pots' a caliper has is directly proportional to how fast you stop etc etc (though most of them are not on this bbs
).
I've seen the KAD ad in the back of CCC (or was it Evo). Would like know more about them.

Honda calipers? so Scoobies arent all rubbish then, they have good calipers ![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)
Edit: owns Warrenders? they have that lovely new Integra in, bet you wont outbrake that. Okay, thats probably because it wouldnt be moving as fast as you, but hey, you still wont outbrake him though.

I should add..
when I said "weight distribution" that includes *dynamic* weight distribution, otherwise known as load transfer.
Something else I thought of...
Big brake kits *can* actually INCREASE stopping distances as they can move the brake power bias forward because they are so much more powerful than the rears.
Cheers
