Cool

Anybody have any experience of APS products.
PPP OK but the thought of 0 to 60 in 4.6 secs is more appealing.

Any information appreciated

The APS kit gets very mixed views in AUS'. Some people raving over it, and some pretty unhappy. It's the main topic on the WRX list (AUS equivalent of the IWOC).

Like all ecu's, results depend on the mapper. Who would you get to map it for you ??? And you'd get just as good, if not better results from alternatively supplied kit.

Mark.

Hi Mark,

You wouldn't have that Aussie web address of the equivalent to IWOC handy would you please m8? If you have, would you post it please?

Cheers,

The early APS kits were a bit dodgey but the new ones seem very good.

The MY01 kit comes with a new exhaust (which will also be used on other models). Doubtful about power gains but it sounds a lot better. In the lower spec kit the standard airbox is retained because the AFM is moulded into the top. The higher spec kit places the AFM in a custom pipe and requires a remap because of this.

You can get someone to retune the unichip but they come with a map from APS.

Coyote,

ANY MAP SUPPLIED WITH AN ECU, IS A BASE MAP, and each car should be individually mapped.

Wrexy: If you check out the Yahoo groups (same as for the IWOC), under WRX, you can register, but be warned, you'll get anywhere up to 70 mails a day. Most of these require a strong index finger, and the DELETE key, but occationally, there are some interesting threads.
