When I went to test drive a car today (which I'm collecting on Tues) it had Gold 16" wheels on it with 205/50/R16 Bridgestone tyres because it is an ex demonstrator.

Its a Sport Special, and should have the standard 15" 6 spokes on it.

My choice was to have the originals put back on, or pay £350 for the gold 16" wheels.

Aparently they are the ones the P1 arrives in the UK with, which are swapped for the Prodrive anthracides once in the UK.

Ive said to keep them on, but was wondering what they cost and if anyone else has them?

Thumbs up

What the dealers told you is true. There were plenty of sets of these wheels in circulation a few months back thru many dealers and at various prices. I paid £350 for a set thru Scoobynet although some have been turning up cheaper in 'For Sale' recently. If you like them this is probably a reasonable deal. The tyres on them although not the best would cost you nearly £350 anyway!

Youre not paying £350 are you, youre paying £350 PLUS the standard wheels which must be worth £150. Do you think the gold alloys are worth £500? You should have told them youd only buy the car with the gold alloys and theyd have caved
