Lee,
The Slicks were a definate handling improvement, outbraking and cornering a hell of a lot of cars there. Althought I think that was also down to the enthuiastic driving of Skippy, he tried in vain to encourage me to take my WRX out but I'm waiting for a brake upgrade at the end of the month. There was even a couple of F Reg Volvo 340 GLS racing around, great screaching on the corners.

I'm looking forward to the next of the Grass Roots events, you can get right up close to the action and walk around the pits. We went to Harewood Hill a few weeks previously and met up with a load of other Scoobys(Thank to Rum) and that was a similar event. It goes to prove that you don't have to have a expensive car to take part in these events, there was a 1990 Nissan Slivia giving it good on the track.

Excellent day out!
I was especially proud of the Terzo which kept a garage's demo EVO 6 at bay for about 5 laps. I was in the passenger seat of the EVO listening to the "salesman" telling me how much better the EVO was over a Subaru!

that was either me not paying attention and just getting in the way whilst trundling round with my pads on fire or the other terzo that the bloke had only had for 2 weeks (and presumably knew what he was doing!)
Top day (first time out). Need to get better brakes to have a bit more fun.
cheers
Andy
