Hi
What should the spec be on a 1995 WRX?
I am planning on looking at the car tomorrow and I have no idea what the spec should be?
BHP?
Any problems I should be aware of with a car from this year?
Mileage is 60,000, what kind of price should I be looking at?
TIA
Paul

If its a 4 door the model code for a MY95WRX is GC8C48D. This should be stamped on a plate in the engine bay, by the passenger side strut IIRC. This means it has been made from Sept94 to Aug95. Double check this by looking at the label on the seatbelts as these show a year/month of manufacture.
The my95WRX doesn't come with a strut brace as standard but they should have air-con and electric mirrors. They also don't have a split/fold rear seat. My car came with 16" rims which I believe to be standard, they are twin bladed 5 spoke type. Rear spoiler is the "low level" type as standard.
That all I can think of at the mo, oh and yes they are 260PS on 100RON fuel and NEED to be run on SUL minimum. The red line on the rev counter starts at 7500 I think.
Right, thats definately it!
Good luck

I have recently bought a MY95 WRX paid £9000 but it is in vgood nick.
Climate control, elec windows ,door mirrors, elec aerial,
Oh yes goes very,very quickly!!
Insurance £775 Tesco online,im 35 protected no claims for my self and the Dragon.
Definately check the Model number etc as some dealers will make out its an MY95 but it's infact MY93.Check

I agree with most of the others, I have had my 95 wrx (white) for two years got it direct from Japan.
Make sure you get the engine checked over, no piston slap, (ring damage). This can come from excessive detting. My last 93 broke a ring, mainly due to a Jap ECU chip and running on 95RON. Engine change £1100, not £4,000 as stated above.
Have run my car on 95 RON for two years no problem at all, but I know what to listen for, it dets flat out at 6,000 revs in the summer. So if in doubt use 97RON or a additive.
Cam belt change a must, as well as the other bits mentioned above look out for retractable electric wing mirrors and electric aerial. Most of them do not come with anti lock brakes.
OOPS nearly forgot look at my webs site for some usefull contacts
