Hey-ho to all those New Zealanders out there...
Just purchased a MY95 WRX a few weeks ago, and love it! (PS Thanks to those that offered advice on my purchase.)
Can anyone point me in the direction of anything related to Subaru’s, but locally? Clubs, retail outlets, internet sites, etc. Just anything at all.
Cheers guys, appreciate your help.![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif)

for Subaru upgrades try Mclennan Performance cars - they give good advice and provide good service (that's the garage chokka with Subarus)
for petrol go for the BP Ultimate or Mobil Synergy 8000 (only at selected service stations) - both 98 octane and give that extra bit of grunt on the road
for good WRX driving roads try the Pahiatua Track, Manawatu Gorge and the road going east to the coast from Dannevirke (a good 500km Sunday drive round trip) - good inclines, good corners and good visibility.
for off-roading try the Santoft forest, just north of Bulls.
if you fancy the beach - you can get on to the sand at Waiterere (bit boring after a while tho')
And don't bother with the Rimutakas - too crowded and too many wannabes
regards

well I guess this thread has died a death then !!
As I am 'off' to NZ soon, does anyone know of a 'local' (ie NZ biased) BBS / Bulletin Board. I'm interested to see what issues come up in NZ, as I may export my scooby, but if not, will buy one over there anyway.
Maybe all/most New Zealanders post on scoobynet.co.uk, or an Aussie BBS ??

yep, just up the coast in Raumati;
bought the WRX 'cos to survive on NZ roads you either need something quick and nippy - or something built like a tank (hence all the Pajeros out there).
just come back from McLennan's Performance and got a quote for a 100k service, new Falken ST115's all round, better headlights, EBC green brake pads, lowered suspension and a fitted and tuned linkECU (plus 3 port solenoid)- takes them 5 hours to do the ECU tuning.
leave me a little poorer, but hopefully a lot faster .....
and please don't ask what all the above does in detail, cos I haven't a clue.

... and another 500km Sunday round trip -
get to Woodville and take the Saddle Track, which is parallel to the Manawatu Gorge, to Ashurst and then head up to Pohinga and round to Okito(?) and on to Kimbolton; beautiful run at the weekend up to the snowline and there's a choice of sealed roads all the way, or gravel if preferred.
