Again wanting to pick your brains.
Like to hear from WRX and STI owners about the sort of fuel consumption they get. Please say weather WRX or STI
Cheers

4.54 litres to the Gallon. Look at your next petrol receipt, which will tell you how many litres you have just put in.
Then divide the number of miles by the number of litres and multiply by 4.54 - per presto mpg.
By the way I get about 24-26mpg.
BB
Richie - you're obviously not talking about a scoob then m8. 48+mpg - we can only dream about that.

WRX, i'm gonna sound thick but I don't know how to work out MPG!! I get about 200 miles on a full tank round town and that's running on Optimax. I am a bit erm.... heavy footed though!

MY99 Sti v5 ra. Constant 15 mpg going to and from work, a trip of about 12 miles each way. The devil made me do it ! It's not my fault it just torques to me, and it doesn't go above 3000 rpm for the first 10 mins, but I do let it warm up on the drive for about the same before I set off!

You might find this strange but..........I have MY02 WRX and used optimax from new. Average 24 mpg (driving normal with the occasional blas . The wife (dozy bint) went and filled up with Total super unleaded (much cheaper than optimax by 9p ltr.)
Thing is, although the car runs like sh1te compared to optimax, i got 28 mpg.
Go figure!!!!!!!!

Buzzer - that's the complete oppostie of what I found. I think mine runs a little better on SUL (although I use Esso - near me and 77p/litre), but it is more economical on optimax. Both are much better than 95RON anyway.
MY02 WRX, 5k miles old, average 26ish best 31, worst 19. I reckon it will do about 35-36mpg at a steady 70-75 on the motorway, I've just never done it for a full tank.

Can never be bothered to work out mpg. I usually get around 250 miles to a tank pottering to work and using my right foot a fair bit. Motorway miles and taking it easy and that normally goes up to about 300. Use Optimax only, unless of course Im caught short - so to speak

Best 25mpg (when I bought the car and was initially taking it easy)...
Worst ~10mpg (don't ask)
Usually ~18mpg, but at 3000miles/month thats a lot of petrol Infact nearly enough to finance and run another car, but why would I want to! GTR all the way...

Hi, I have an sti v5 and get 17 miles to the gallon around town and 21 on a long journey. I hardly ever get more than 200 miles to a tank. I have put a post in myself asking this question but all i got was put it in when you need it. But it is good to know what all you fellow drivers are getting. Cheers gary

Hmmm I just worked my fuel consumption out since I had a full decat 2 weeks ago (already had Dawes@15psi + K&N) car is a MY97 UK and I got 17mpg, going to work and back!
Have had about 26-27 mpg's on a run though - Scooby's just aren't designed for short stop/start trips.
But who gives a **** - worth every penny IMHO

MY96 WRX... 23 mainly, severely lead footed, doing mainly A-roads, 50 miles a day. worst 19, best 28 (M5, at least 70mph!).
Currently engine limited to 4000 revs, no fun @ mo!! (has Prodrive full decat)

MY94 STi.
- average 25mpg driving like a nun.
- 220 max out a tank of optimax - engine is virtually licking the bottom of the tank to get 220.
- if I out the foot down, its a whole different story.

My02 STI type UK always on Optimax.
Approx. £38.00 to fill up, (about 50 litres or 10 gallons)
worst= 160 miles or 16 mpg.
best= 230 miles or 23 mpg.
I use mine as an every day car and average at about 190 miles / tank (19mpg).
Dont buy a scoob if your one of these that get stressed over fuel,
consumption!
