I have got my eye on one of these, but am not sure how easy/difficult they will be to fit??

Anyone, got one? What do you think?
Easy to fit?

I enquired about this item some time ago and was told by the outfit selling them that they were very difficult to fit (they wouldn't even do it themselves they would get an alarm specialist to fit it~)
just my 2p worth.

I bought one of these, it was...... interesting.

The wiring diagram supplied was in japanese, but fortunately the garage had someone who could decipher it for them.

they still had quite a bit of work to do, not something i'd do myself.

Though anyone that knows me, knows i can't even change the plugs myself so thats not exactly a guide.

Powerengineering supply and fit them and they charge around the same for fitting as supplying!

Quoted from their website:
Full Auto Turbo Timer: £70 (£82.25).
Dual Turbo Timer: £105 (£123.38).
Multi Speed Turbo Timer: £120 (£141.00).
All are fiddly to fit nicely, hence fitting: £145 (£170.38).

I am not tight but I ain't paying £170 to fit something that costs £104 I'll get my local auto electrical boys to do it.

Cheers anyway.

I bought the FATMSTT and fitted it myself the wiring is very simple (I got the corresponding wiring loom for my impreza from racelogic) the wiring took me about 40mins top! one wire to the ECU and one to the handbrake, including all the running and hiding. The hardest part was deciding where to fit it!!! I certainly would not pay that amount of cash for someone else to do it!!!

Just remembered (oops!) After I had installed it the alarm would not arm until the engine had shut off! This meant a quick trip down to my local alarm shop and £20 to enable it to arm with engine on!! Still alot cheaper than 170 beer tokens!!!!!
