Last night Midnight - 22b on the drive (yeah I know!!)Red impreza parked outside, beat a hasty retreat when light came on. Got a decription of sorts
R Plate, MY 99 Spoiler and modified exhaust.
Reported the incident to the police gave them the last 3 letters of plate - unable to locate it!
If this was somebody on scoobynet who is just curious please put me out of my misery as the car wont go in the garage at the moment and I am paranoid.
Also does any one know of effective security system - perimeter type?
Thanks
Geoff

If you havent got a tracker/trackstar/navtrack device then i would do it asap !!

Or just rent a pride of Lions from the nearest Zoo and put them on the back seat.

Exclamation

Try Peak Security (0116 247 8434) & buy some "mines" - only £20

These are tripwires that when activated, set off a black gunpowder cartridge (no bullets/pellets ) with a hell of a bang

Attach to gate, set across driveway, attach to scoob etc etc.

Simple, cheap and easy to get hold of. Wakes you scares xxxx out of scoper/thief

After reading about all of these incidents today about car theft/jacking, I'm definately encouraged to get a Tracker system fitted. What's the recommended system to go for and what would should I expect to pay.
What's the odds of my insurance company (Tesco) giving me a reduction on my premium I wonder - they were happy enough to take a bit extra earlier today for a TSL Motorsport back box which will be fitted.

Hey, start of the shooting season this weekend, need I say more
I'm sure they were admiring rather than "casing", nevertheless disturbing all the same, can't see that it would be a scoobynetter coz they'd know better !

Question

Geoff,

Could be Thorpey, he has a red Scoob and modded exhaust, worth checking with him!

Cheers,

Mossman

Paul,
Tesco's didn't give me a reduction for having trackstar and they didn't seem to bothered whether I had it or not!!
I got it for my peace of mind really.

Juk,

Just got the same message from Tesco so I'm wondering why some people have had a Tracker insisted on by them. Area risk?? Garaged or not??
Oh well, I'll never understand insurance companies!!

I don't know if it's any help but my insurance company gives discount on scoobs, try A-plan insurance, also trackers are ok about £299 fitted and £99 a year. But you can pay a one off payment which lasts as long as you own the car.
If all else fails employ an armed guard!!!!!

Red face

Considering how rare these cars are, if you can't sleep then why not sleep in the car.

Thumbs up

WRX.co.uk - did sleep with a shotgun under the bed (2 up the spout) If they want my keys they would have to negotiate with the wrong end of Paulo Berretta first!!!!

Thanks for the comments Guys crisis off just had an email off-line and it was an admirer rather than a casing exercise. Thanks for putting me out of my misery!
Still it makes you a little more aware doesn't it?

Geoff,

Are you still bringing it up to Elvington on Saturday so I can park my green one behind it and drool over yours?

If, by any chance you leave the keys in, I promise I will bring it back

I had a Vectra follow me through Rickmansworth/Watford/Abbots Langley. We ended up going into another housing estate..... Unfortunately there was a blue turbo on a drive so apologies to that owner
