Did you know that the speed camera situation is set to get worse and worse?

Do you think that speed cameras are a bad idea but have a nagging doubt that you'd be 'politically incorrect' to say so?

I've already joined. As I'm probably the most disorganised and lazy person I know, I can only presume that the lack of membership of the ABD on this board is because people choose not to be a member...

 

Way I feel right now I'd rather join the group of guys in Devon who put a tyre full of burning parafin on the bloody things...

I gather it costs quite a lot to replace them

 

I too am a member, and went to the AGM a month or so ago. It is so nice to be able to chat with people who actually support the motorist!

It seems incredible that there are so many ANTI-car groups (BRAKE, Transport 2000, RoadPeace, FotE etc.) and so few on our side.

For the price of a third of a tank of gas per year, it has gotta be worth it to join - come on folks!!!!

Start a new club, £10 per month suscription, for this you get your speeding fine paid plus a reward of £1000 per Speed Camera writen-off by any means possible i.e burning,towing away ,knocking down etc. etc. photographic evidence required.
This way we might prevent France and the rest of Europe laughing at us for putting up with this invasion of our human rights,that is having to ADMIT our guilt to a crime !!!!

i too have joined the abd to get my voice heard.If you don't do something +ve how can you complain about the way the motorist is treated.
so join up or burn down a gatsco---did they really do that in devon?

 

I think we should get a slogan going similar to the "Dump the Pump" one,but get all the kids on-side,you know start a "fashion" craze,maybe "Coat the Camera" or "Burn the *******s".

Yes they really did burn the camera down here in Devon. The Camera was situated on the A38 Exeter to Newton Abbott Road. It even made headline news in the local papers and on the local SIX o'clock news.

The Police are appealing for witness that may of seem two person running from the seen.

They still haven't replaced it, yet !!!!!
