I took the front facia off the radio at lunch time whilst I went shopping and put it in the glovebox (Please no comments, I know I shouldn't leave it in the car).
When I returned to the car I decided to leave the radio in the glovebox and drive back to work.
When I left work this evening I opened the glovebox and, to my horror, the radio facia had vanished!
Now I do remember hearing a few "rattles/clunks etc" coming from the glovebox on my brisk return to work at lunch.
Does anyone know if there is a void between the back of the glovebox and the engine bay as I can only think it has fallen down the "back"?
By the time I arrived home this evening it was too dark to investigate further!

You know the centre console in your car? Check behind there. I dropped my snooper (for private roads of course ) in it once.

 

Have you bought a P1?? As they had rattles aplenty BUT alas NO radio!!!

check behind centre console, also check under passenger seat!!
I often put my wallet in the glove box whilst driving...thought I had lost it..then figured it had dropped out of the back of the glove box when closing it?? and ended up under front passenger seat...found it only after cancelling all the credit cards etc..DOH!!

 

There's a bar behind the glovebox that's useful for making the glovebox bigger - I keep my screen wipe jobby on it - immediately behind the glovebox, go through from gap on the top.

Pretty sure nothing can get to the engine bay, might be possible to get into passenger side trim

It can't get into the engine bay. Check down the back of the glovebox. Also, check the carpet by the side of the centre console.

Finally, you can take the glovebox out...

I found it this evening in the passenger footwell in the left-hand corner hanging down beneath the side of the glovebox - if that makes sense.
