Was having a drool over this yesterday. There's an official micro-site here which I found linked off the Subaru Japan website. Rather Flash heavy though, and unfortunately mostly in Japanese ...
Anyone out there who could give us some idea of the specification of this nice beasty?

Wow! Subaru have actually, for the first time, got a cohesive design "ethos" between the Legacy and the Impreza. They actually look like they belong to the same family.
Someone, somewhere, has been paying attention to the market

Looking through the site amongst the japanese text is states 293PS = 289 BHP IIRC. Looks like there's some mention in their of a new ECU. Couldn't see a torque figure though.
6-speed box, brembo brakes, etc.

Some specs

There has been an Impreza S201 and 202. And now the Legacy S401 but has there ever been a S301 ?

yeh, which means a "Type UK" version will only be 240 BHP ish with 300NM of torque, with a 12 month wait for the PPP to take it back upto Jap spec ;-)
Oh and you can bet your **** that will remove the rear windscreen wiper as well :-(

David,
I'm hoping it will be sorted this week, had a new thermostat arrived on Saturday but I,m also having some new belts on aircon and fans fitted plus a repaired bracket on the aircon. Hope the thermo will cure the coolant loss.
Cheers Tim
P.S. driving around in the wifes brand new Mini Cooper, its a really scream of a car, nor fast but handles a teat !!
