Question

Didn't get a response on the lighting forum. Any clue if you can fit OE WRX fog or Driving lights to a standard STI7?
Appreciate feedback.

I've got the HIDs on mine, the dealer fitted them without any probs (apart from having to make up a bit of loom), even though Subaru UK had advised them that they don't fit the non-prodrive STi7.

It is possible to fit OE fog lamps as well as our driving lamp conversion if you use an OE fog lamp switch and relay.

Mike, where can I get them from?
The Subaru websites do not have the accessories access anymore.
So where to buy Prodrive driving lights and for how much?

It says on my invoice:

Prodrive WR Gas Discharge Driving Lights (Inc. Fitting) £765.96 +VAT comes to £900.00

So they are pretty dear, but they do light the place up like you wouldn't believe. Only thing is I don't end up using them that mucxh as they are mainly suitable for driving around country lanes in the dark, and I live in London

Maybe I should have thought of that earlier...

Can't afford the HIDs, interested in the OE Driving Lamps from TSL, they're not sure they'll fit an STI7, they've never done it before. Confirmation that they will fit easily with no alterations, appreciated.

Unless you get Mike Wood to fit 'em for you, IMHO, you'd be better trying Scoobysport for their Cibie conversion!
BTW, my Scoobysport Hella 1000FF HID's were less than £700 all up.
I fitted them myself in about half an hour, using their loom (Provided). Their HID conversion uses a Scoobysport designed bracket, and DOES NOT suffer from the IMHO problems of setting up, that the Prodrive ones do.

Ask TSL if their lights will fit an MY02 WRX. If yes, ergo they will fit an MY02 non PD STi as the bumper is the same, AFAIK.

My previous reply obviously didn't fully answer your question!

Yes they will fit but as you don't have the OE fog lamps fitted you will need extra parts which our kit (note the TSL kit is really the Prodrive driving lamp kit which is sold via the Subaru dealers here) relies on such as the OE fog lamp switch and relay.

Regards

Mike
