this will prob be moved

done a search on this subject, but is the gear box oil checked at operating temp or cold? the owners manual is not specific on this.

the dip stick shows low level when cold and i dont want to change/top up as (correct me if im wrong) too much oil can do more damage than not enough.

plus should a scoob USE g/box oil? no too sure on this and i cant spot any leaks!!??

just thinking that, if no oil is used, and there are no leaks then did the dealer check and top this up at the last service??

Thanks

Steve

Levels and pressures are usually checked cold. You should not see a big movement in the level from week to week, if you do you may have a problem.
Try and check it on a level surface and make sure the dipstick goes all the way in. On mine there is a lot of resistance just before the cap closes all the way.
