![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Is it safe to use octane booster in my MY01 WRX PPP (allways use super unleaded) , are there any adverse affects or only good ones, if the answer is yes which octane booster should i use? thanks

Pete, which ones have you tried, seriously, just the Silkolene or any others.
If you haven't tried the NF would you like to try some and see if its any different.
??
(Not a advert BTW just Curious)

Cant see how it could hurt - ive used SUL and ProBoost from TSL and i thought it went like a rocket - but nothing "concrete" to prove it made a difference!!
I'd have though the PPP would cope if the standard chip can!!!

Jza,
I spoke to Prodrive yesterday, they said they would'nt reccomend it because they have not tested a car using octane booster, obvious reply i suppose.
simon.

I have used it and WOULD recommend it, especially in an 01.
The ECU on an 01 listens for det and adjusts timing to suit. Its doing this constantly and the difference when running octane booster is noticeable straight away, as the engine runs quieter (knock wise) the higher the octane is.
ECU runs more advance... your grin is wider

Go on Simon lob it in, what harm can it do. works fine on mine, and I know you've got one of these new fangled things, so must like it even more!
I always use Millers - from either Scoobymania, or Scoobyparts. I think SM is slightly cheaper, but you can order on-line from Scoobyparts.
If you want to try a bottle, I'm sure that I can spare one for you ( I won't even charge you £2.80 or whatever it is!), juts pop round over the weekend sometime if you want.
