Hi all

I've just made it home after a 60mph argument between my scooby and a small animal. I saw the car in front hit it first, so I'm sure it was dead before running it over myself, but I've felt better and could use some sympathy

A quick peer underneath the car shows that it's dislodged something - looks like a plastic sump guard or similar - and it's dragging on the ground. Fortunately I have a Kwik-Fit just round the corner, so I'll get them to put it up on a ramp first thing tomorrow and see if they can fix (or at least remove) the offending item. Does anyone have a picture of the underside of an old-shape scooby (MY00) so that I can try and identify what might have come adrift?

Thanks, but it's further back than that - I'm guessing it's roughly level with the front of the gearbox (or maybe not, it's dark out there!)

It is probably the gearbox guard. I lost mine on my first high speed run Haven't missed it.

John: buy yourself a beer, you're spot on Damage doesn't look too serious, although I think a jet wash of the underside of my car may be in order (ugh!).
